 What is ALU explain?

What is an arithmetic-logic unit (ALU)? An arithmetic-logic unit is the part of a central processing unit that carries out arithmetic and logic operations on the operands in computer instruction words. In some processors, the ALU is divided into two units: an arithmetic unit (AU) and a logic unit (LU).
 
What is ALU and its types?
A typical ALU consists of three types of functional parts: storage registers, operations logic, and sequencing logic.
What is ALU and CU?
ALU stands for Arithmetic and Logical Unit which performs Arithmetic functions like Addition, subtraction, division, etc. CU stands for control unit which performs the task of controlling functions of the computer. It monitors and gives proper instructions to all parts of the computer.
