Application Software

 Application software refers to computer programs or software applications designed to perform specific tasks or functions for users. Unlike system software, which is responsible for managing computer hardware and providing a platform for running other software applications, application software is designed to help users perform specific tasks.

Examples of application software include word processors, spreadsheets, email clients, media players, web browsers, accounting software, graphic design software, and video editing software. These programs are typically designed to run on specific operating systems, such as Windows, macOS, or Linux, and may be available as standalone applications or as part of a suite of software applications.

Application software is developed by software developers who use programming languages like Java, C++, Python, and others to create the software programs. These programs may be distributed as commercial software or open-source software, depending on the developer's preference.
