Character Printer

A character printer is a type of printer that prints one character at a time. These printers are often used in applications where a limited amount of information needs to be printed, such as cash registers, calculators, or label makers.

There are several types of character printers, including dot matrix printers, daisy wheel printers, and line printers. Dot matrix printers use a print head that contains a series of pins that strike an ink ribbon to create dots on the paper. These dots combine to form characters and images. Daisy wheel printers use a wheel that contains a series of spokes, each of which has a character on the end. The wheel rotates and positions the correct character over the paper, which is then struck to create the impression.
