CPU 

The component of a computer system that controls the interpretation and execution of instructions. The CPU of a PC consists of a single microprocessor, while the CPU of a more powerful mainframe consists of multiple processing devices, and in some cases, hundreds of them.

The major types of CPU are classified as single-core, dual-core, Quad-core, Hexa core, Octa-core, and Deca core processor which is explained below.

What is the CPU and its use?
All kinds of computing devices such as tablets, PCs, or laptops feature a brain-like unit called the central processing unit or CPU. Your computer's CPU calculates and interprets instructions while you're surfing the web, creating documents, playing games, or running software programs.
