Drum Printer information

A drum printer is a type of computer printer that uses a rotating drum to print text or images onto paper. The drum is covered with characters or patterns that are pressed against an inked ribbon and then onto the paper to create the printed output.

Drum printers were widely used in the 1960s and 1970s, before they were largely replaced by more advanced printing technologies such as laser printers and inkjet printers. However, drum printers are still used in some specialized applications, such as in cash registers and other point-of-sale systems.

Drum printers are known for their reliability and durability, as they can often print large volumes of output without requiring frequent maintenance. However, they are generally slower than modern printers and can only print in monochrome (black and white).
