Impact Printer

 An impact printer is a type of printer that works by physically striking an ink ribbon against paper to create an impression. This differs from non-impact printers, such as inkjet or laser printers, which use toner or ink to create an image without physically striking the paper.

Impact printers are typically slower and louder than non-impact printers, but they can create carbon copies of documents and are often used in applications that require multiple copies of the same document, such as invoices or receipts. There are two main types of impact printers: dot matrix printers and line printers.
