Joystick

A joystick is a computer input device that is used to control the movement of an object or cursor on a computer screen. It typically consists of a handheld device with a stick or lever on top that can be moved in different directions, as well as one or more buttons on the base.

When the stick or lever is moved, the joystick sends signals to the computer, which then moves the object or cursor accordingly. Joysticks are often used for gaming, flight simulation, and other applications that require precise control over movement.

Joysticks come in a variety of styles and designs, including simple, single-axis joysticks that can move in only one direction at a time, and more complex multi-axis joysticks that can move in multiple directions simultaneously. Some joysticks also feature additional buttons, switches, and controls that can be used to perform various actions.
