Trackball

A trackball is a computer input device that allows the user to control the movement of a cursor or object on a computer screen by rotating a ball with their fingers. It consists of a stationary base and a ball that can be rotated in any direction using the fingers.

When the ball is rotated, it sends signals to the computer, which then moves the cursor or object on the screen accordingly. Trackballs are often used as an alternative to a mouse, particularly in situations where space is limited or precision movement is required.

Trackballs come in a variety of styles and designs, ranging from small, handheld devices to larger, desktop models. Some trackballs also feature additional buttons, switches, and controls that can be used to perform various actions, such as scrolling or zooming.
